Security Code Texts

Koobu™ is field operations software made by Modulus Software, LLC. Koobu sends a small number of text messages from (321) 655-2341 to the employees of businesses that use Koobu. These texts are only about signing in. Koobu never sends marketing texts from this number.

What we text

• A one-time 6-digit setup code, so an employee can set or reset the PIN they use to sign in on their company's shared device. Example: "Koobu: 123456 is your device access code. It expires in 10 minutes. Do not share this code."
• A security notice when the phone number used for these codes changes. Example: "Koobu: Your shared-device recovery number was changed. If you did not approve this, contact your administrator immediately."

How you agree to these texts

1. When your employer adds you to Koobu, you give them your mobile number for Koobu setup codes. The number is optional. Your employer types it in the Mobile field marked "for a text setup code," only with your agreement.
2. A code is sent only when it is asked for: by you, when you tap "Text me a setup code" or "Text Setup Code" on the company device, or by your employer, when they tap "Add & Text Setup Code" or "Send Setup Code" while setting up your PIN with you.
3. The Mobile field and the code buttons show this notice: "Koobu texts a one-time code to this number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help."

Texts are never required. You can always set or reset your PIN in person with an owner or admin instead.

How often

Only when a code is asked for or your code phone number changes. Most people get one or two texts a year.

How to stop, and help

Reply STOP to any text and you will get no more. Reply START to get them again, or HELP for help. You can also email [email protected].

Your number

We use your mobile number only to send these texts. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
